Want to join our lodge?

To petition Anchor Hilyard Lodge #2, you must obtain recommendations from two Master Masons. At least one of these brothers must be a member of Anchor Hilyard. These Masons should be familiar enough with you to vouch for your honesty, integrity, pure intentions, and readiness to take on the significant responsibility of initiation into the Masonic Order.
For information on the next lodge event where you can meet one of the officers, please call the lodge office at 612-405-3011 or email the Secretary at mngrandsec@yahoo.com.

Before submitting your petition to Prince Hall Masonic Lodge, please carefully consider the following questions:

-
Why do you wish to join a Lodge of Freemasons?

-
Do you understand that by joining, you are committing yourself to actively participate in the life of the Lodge, its business affairs, and its mission of bringing light (knowledge) to its members?

-
Will you faithfully attend Lodge meetings and social events?

-
Do you understand that the purpose of Freemasonry is self-improvement and genuine inner initiation, through which you will experience a profound transformation in your life? Are you willing to make its teachings and mysteries a lifelong study?

-
Do you understand that charity is a key aspect of self-improvement, and that you are expected to contribute either financially or by volunteering your time to the Lodge and its programs?

-
Do you understand that your primary duty as a Mason is to your Craft Lodge? Membership in additional organizations, such as the York Rite, Scottish Rite, or the Shrine, should not take precedence over your commitment to Ancient Craft Masonry. Joining other organizations should not be your main motivation for becoming a Freemason.

-
All Masons are brothers and are expected to offer help, support, and assistance to one another, whether through friendship, time, or financial aid when necessary. Are you ready to help and support your fellow brothers in their time of need?

Are you duly and truly prepared to undertake these obligations?
